Synopsis: On the day of her wedding to a humble commoner, a high elf bride is mysteriously transmuted into a log the moment she says her vows. Now, detectives are exploring the groom's memories on that fateful day, looking for clues that lead to the spellcaster.

Interlink Spatial is producing a short immersive experience through MAVERiC Studio’s Comic-Con event under UC San Diego.

Description: A high elf who falls victim to a rogue spellcaster’s transmutation spell.

Personality: Bubbly, Ditzy, Expressive
Description: A high elf with a flair for dramatic worry. Her anxious nitpicking playfully contrasts with Nym’s calm, grounded nature.

Ron / Uncle Ron : This role has been cast

Personality: Unruly, Brash, Bawdy
Description: Eric’s wizard uncle, a notoriously unruly individual who is never seen without a drink.

Kindroth / Father of the bride : Open Role

Description: Nym’s esteemed father, who is distrustful of humans.

Cleric John/Joanne : Open Role

Production Details

Shooting Dates :
Shoot dates are flexible and will be coordinated around cast availability. The deadline to complete all shoots is July 7th.
Talent who have continued availability after the academic year (June 13th) are preferred.

Shooting Location : Balboa Park Spreckels Organ Pavilion

Time Commitment : Single or Two-day shoot, less than two hours per shoot.

Costumes : Talent with existing costumes for their desired roles are encouraged to apply, though Interlink will make efforts to provide costume resources when needed.

  • MAVERiC Studio is UC San Diego’s production-based studio for immersive storytelling and innovation. Learn more about it Here.

  • Immersive video (or VR video) captures scenes stereoscopically—separately for each eye—across a 180-degree field of view, enabling an immersive experience when viewed on a compatible headset.

  • Spellbound Vows is a small, self-funded production. There are no requirements to participate besides having a passion for experimental fictional storytelling.
